Xinchang Weilite Textile Machinery Co., Ltd.

Xinchang Weilite Textile Machinery builds computerized sock knitting machines in Xinchang, Zhejiang, and sells them under the WEKNIT brand. The catalogue groups 6F, 7F and 8F plain/terry hosiery machines, a sock-sewing range that includes the WLT-212 toe closer, and knife sharpeners. The WLT-7F X1 carries the fullest data: a single-cylinder, one-feed jacquard machine with a 3¾-inch cylinder, needle options from 84 to 200 and a top speed of 270 rpm. Start a quote with a reference sock, its yarns and its colour layout.

What Weilite builds

  • Use the WLT-7F X1 table as the baseline, then ask for a separate sheet for any 6F or 8F proposal.

Weilite is a hosiery machine company. Its Chinese introduction says it develops, manufactures, sells and services 6F, 7F and 8F computerized plain/terry sock machines, and the product menu adds sock-sewing equipment and knife sharpeners beside the knitters.

Of the knitting models, the WLT-7F X1 is the only model with a published numerical table, so it is the natural reference for an enquiry. The catalogue also shows the WLT-8F X2 and two 6F models. Their pages carry photos and names, and the 7F figures belong to the 7F only. If Weilite offers you another WLT model, ask for that model's own technical sheet.

Buyers comparing Weilite with other makers of sock and glove knitting equipment can browse the knitting hub. Line up cylinder size, needle options, feeds and colour capacity side by side before looking at price. [1] [2] [4]

WLT-7F X1 figures in brief

Weilite calls the WLT-7F X1 a single-cylinder, one-feed jacquard cotton-sock machine for plain and terry socks. It has seven electronic selectors. The product text puts the colour ceiling at 18 per sock and six within one line, and the two numbers answer different design questions. The figures below come from the parameter image on the product page. [2]

Switching between plain and terry

Weilite says the WLT-7F X1 needs some spare parts changed before it knits plain socks. The page names no kit and gives no changeover time. If you will move between the two constructions, list the conversion and wear parts in the quotation and have Weilite carry out the change in front of you on the needle count you will buy.

Applications listed for the machine include multi-rib, 3D and boat socks as well as short and long socks. Mark on your reference sock which of these features you need, so the demonstration covers them. [2]

Toe closing comes from a second machine

  • Ask for the WLT-212 as its own line item with seam type, size range and speed in writing.

Weilite files the WLT-212 under sock-sewing equipment and calls it a socks toe-closing machine. It sits outside the hosiery machine group, so plan knitting and toe closing as two purchases. Knitted socks leave the WLT-7F X1 with an open toe, and moving them to the closer is a handling step your line has to cover.

The WLT-212 page gives a photograph and no operating data. Speed, sock handling, seam type and size range all have to come from Weilite. Send a knitted sock and a sample of the toe finish you sell, and ask for a separate WLT-212 offer with those figures. [3]

Company background

The Chinese introduction says Weilite sells in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. It names no service teams or reference users in those regions. If after-sales support near you matters, ask who would handle it and for a customer you can contact.

Weilite's manufacturing page is a photo collage of offices, the building and a workshop where machine frames stand at several stages of assembly. The photos carry no dates, output figures, floor area or inspection routine. Ask for those directly if they affect your choice.

At ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024, the show's own directory placed WEKNIT beside XINCHANG WEILITE TEXTILE MACHINERY CO., LTD. and the same Chinese legal name at booth H4-D20A. That ties the brand to the company you would contract with.

On experience, the English introduction mentions 30 years while the Chinese page speaks of the founder's more than 20 years in hosiery. Neither gives a founding date. If company age matters to you, ask for the business registration, and see how to read a manufacturer profile for other papers worth requesting. [1] [5] [6] [7]

Planning a trial with one sock design

A colour count or an rpm figure tells you little until you see your sock come off the machine. Choose one design, run your own sock on it, and agree beforehand which machine build and parts Weilite will use. [2] [3]

  1. Fix the reference sock

Supply yarns, sizes, plain and terry zones, rib structure and artwork. Mark the most colours any single line needs, as well as the full palette.

  2. Watch knitting and conversion

Confirm the cylinder and needle count, see both constructions knitted, and list each part swapped. Note cycle time, stops and the settings used for the approved sock.

  3. Close the toe separately

If the WLT-212 is part of the order, close the same socks on it. Agree seam look and feel, inspection rules and any manual work left over.

  4. Repeat at delivery

Write the same sock, settings and pass marks into the contract so the acceptance checks at your plant match the factory trial.
