Nine-needle 26-head configuration

Generic sewing & embroidery machinery illustration · not the listed equipment

Equipment series · Nine-needle 26-head configuration

This is a multi-head embroidery machine with nine needles per head and 26 heads, sold as a high-speed model for flat repeat work. The product title gives the head spacing as 500 without a unit. The page publishes no stitch speed, embroidery area, footprint or power rating. Use it as a starting point for a quote: ask for the exact model code and a drawing showing the usable field per head, then have the machine sew your own design on every head before you order.

Published data and what to request

Bocheng publishes this machine as a short product title: nine needles, 26 heads, 500 head spacing, high-speed. The table sets out each item against what you should get on the quotation. If you are new to reading head count, needle count and spacing on a multi-head machine, read the guide first and then fill in the gaps below. [1]

Working area versus head spacing

Spacing is the distance from one head to the next. The usable X/Y field, the frame opening, fabric overhang and clamp room are separate figures. Have Bocheng draw those limits on the frame drawing around your largest design.

On flat repeat work, settle how each design sits under its head and how the fabric is held across the frame. If some orders need heads switched off or a different repeat, ask to see that exact setup running on the controller and frame you will buy.

Bed length is set by end frames, drives, frame travel and room for operators and service, so take it from the installation drawing. Multiplying 26 by the spacing label gives the wrong answer. [1]

Trial on all 26 heads

A long bed can drift in quality from one end to the other, so test with your own fabric and artwork on every head. Agree pass limits with Bocheng before the acceptance trial starts. [1]

  1. Supply the job

Bring the fabric, backing, thread and digitised file from a real order, including its most difficult details.

  2. Log the machine state

Record controller, frame, needles and settings, and tag each sample with the head that sewed it.

  3. Sew the full design

Run every colour change, fine line and dense area under the same settings on all heads.

  4. Lay the samples out

Check registration, thread tension, puckering, lettering and edge finish head by head.

  5. Test a restart

Have Bocheng follow its thread-break and head-control routine, then look closely at the resumed stitching.

  6. File the results

Store the tagged samples, file version, settings, stop log and sign-off with the purchase papers.

Output per hour on a complete job

Twenty-six heads will not give 26 times the output of a single-head machine. Frame loading, fabric alignment, stops, rework and unloading all cut the number of good pieces per hour, and the listing gives no timed result.

Time the trial job from preparing the frame to taking off the finished pieces. Note how many heads ran, every stop and every reject. You can then set two quotes side by side on the same job.

Bocheng's front page lists a smaller sampling model: nine needles on six heads at 400 spacing. A sample sewn on that smaller machine tells you nothing about the far end of a 26-head bed, so run the final trial on the build you are buying. [1] [2]

What comes with this build

Cap/garment, towel and special embroidery machines sit in other parts of the Bocheng catalogue. If you need any of those effects on this flat machine, list the device on the quote and ask to see it working on the 26-head build. Buyers who mainly sew caps may be better served by embroidery machines with a different head count.

Ask which controller is fitted, which design file formats it opens, how designs are transferred and backed up, and which frames are in the box. Load your own file on that controller and check colour assignment and positioning.

Bocheng shows several entries with this same title, so the name alone will not tell versions apart. Ask for a unique build number and a dated drawing. You will need both to match the delivered machine and order parts later. [1] [2]

Shipping, installation and service

Request the size and weight of each shipping section, lifting points, installed footprint, service clearance, levelling needs and the electrical supply the machine expects. Walk the route from the unloading point to the final position with those figures in hand.

Agree who assembles and aligns the bed, who trains the operators, and which consumables and initial spare parts are included. Ask how controller faults are handled remotely or on site and how parts are identified for this build.

The Bocheng website and the Zhaopin company panel show different Huandong addresses. Make sure the dated offer names the legal seller, the dispatch site and the warranty provider, along with price, delivery date and warranty period. [1] [3] [4]

Sources & limitations

Before ordering this machine, ask Bocheng to confirm in writing: its model code with the current drawing, the unit behind the 500 spacing, the working field of each head, the stitch speed for your job, the installed footprint, section weights and electrical schedule, the controller and frames supplied, and the seller, dispatch address, warranty provider and warranty period on a dated offer.
