Huayu designed the HY310C range around unflanged tubes. Dropping the flanged bobbin lets the machine leave a yarn tail and build a soft package. The maker points the range at warp and weft yarns with low twist that run on water-jet and air-jet looms, and at packages that feed circular knitting machines.

Whether your next machine takes that package is a question for your own floor. Measure the tube and the package your creel or knitter accepts, and send those dimensions with the enquiry.

The SF table gives a range of 30–1,000 denier for chemical-fibre yarn. Tell Huayu the polymer, the yarn construction, its denier and the twist you are after. This machine twists filament only. Spun yarn, texturing and covering are handled by other machines in the Huayu catalogue. [1] [2]

Huayu prints SF, H-SF and L-SF in neighbouring columns of a single table. The rows below set them side by side so an offer can be checked against the right column. Winding capacity is the package weight the version is built for. It says nothing about kilograms per hour. [2]

The SF table describes servo-driven winding and traverse, inverter starting, a tangential belt driving the spindles and magnetic fixing of each spindle. Tension comes from steel-ball and washer tensioners, and the overfeed ratio can be set. Ask Huayu which of these are fitted to the machine it quotes and how each is set for your yarn.

Spindle speed on the SF runs from 2,000 to 13,000 r/min, and the twist row covers 80 to 4,000 turns per metre in either direction. The ends of those ranges were not published as a combination for every yarn. Give Huayu a defined sample job and ask it to propose the spindle speed, delivery settings and package for it.

The 2 × 5.5 kW line refers to the transmission motors. Whole-machine demand and energy per kilogram come from measurement. Ask for the full installed load and utility list, and if power counts toward acceptance, agree where the meter sits and log good output over the same hours.

A package weight in grams is a different quantity from output per hour. To compare offers, record the active spindles, the yarn, the twist, the run time, stops, waste and the weight of yarn that passes. [2]

Spindles come in blocks of 32 up to a maximum of 256, spaced at 225 mm. The SF table also gives an overall size of 16750 × 790 × 1857 with no unit in that row and no link to a particular spindle count. Ask Huayu which configuration it refers to.

For the count you are buying, request a dimensioned drawing with end frames, room to load packages, maintenance access, guards and handling routes. Confirm the electrical supply, the total connected load and any compressed air the chosen devices need.

The English text of the table sets the working room at below 85% relative humidity and below 30°C. Ask Huayu to state the site conditions for your offer before you plan the room. [2]

Trial planning for filament twisters

Settle the methods, pass marks and who does what before Huayu twists the sample. If you compare suppliers, hold the yarn, twist and quality criteria constant. A faster run on a different yarn is a different test.

1. Freeze the sample job

   Note the yarn and denier, twist level and direction, feed tube and package, target package and the loom or knitter it goes to. Keep a reference sample.

2. Log the machine as offered

   Record HY310C-SF, the spindle count, options fitted, settings and what the operator does. Huayu sets up safely and shows the agreed stop and restart.

3. Measure what comes off

   Check twist and package consistency by the agreed methods. Count breaks, waste and stops, weigh the good yarn, and test unwinding or downstream running if that is part of the purchase.

4. Sign off or repeat

   File settings, sample labels and results together. Where a criterion fails, agree the correction and a repeat run.
