Equipment model · SJT2004

The SJT2004 is Shaoxing Jinlong's sinker glove knitting machine for fine work. It is programmed from a keyboard computer and runs on a variable-frequency drive. The brochure lists it at 13G, 15G and 18G with a nominal 80 pairs per 8 hours, 220 V and 250 W, a body of 1,230 × 680 × 1,700 mm and a weight of 250 kg. Jinlong lists full-finger and half-finger gloves among the styles it can knit. Send a reference glove and your yarn with the enquiry, and state the gauge you want quoted.

Gauge: 13G, 15G and 18G, with 10G to confirm

The SJT2004 is the finer-gauge glove knitting machine in Jinlong's SJT family. The illustrated brochure prints SJT2000 and SJT2004 in neighbouring columns. SJT2000 sits at 7G and 10G. SJT2004 sits at 13G, 15G and 18G.

The company introduction lists SJT2004 at 10G as well. If your glove is a 10G style, ask Jinlong to name 10G for SJT2004 in the offer and attach the matching specification. The 10G figure under SJT2000 belongs to the other machine.

Changing needle gauge and changing glove size are different jobs. Size is set through the keyboard program. A new gauge may mean different mechanical parts. Ask which changes your operators can make on the keyboard and which need a parts change or a second machine. [2] [3]

Knitting, drive, stop and lubrication functions

The product page describes SJT2000 and SJT2004 together. The table sorts those features into four groups and gives the question to put to Jinlong for each. Use it to ask which devices the base price covers on your SJT2004. [1]

What the SJT2004 brochure column lists

  • The 80-pair rate and the 12–18 machine range come from the catalogue. Count your own accepted pairs before using them for staffing.

These are the numbers printed in the SJT2004 column of the undated brochure. Read them as planning inputs, then replace them with figures from your own glove and from the specification attached to the offer. [2]

Power supply and floor space

One brochure row gives 220 V and 250 W and also refers to single-phase or three-phase supply. Before you plan wiring for a row of machines, have Jinlong say whether your SJT2004 needs single-phase or three-phase supply and send the wiring diagram.

The body measures 1,230 by 680 by 1,700 mm and weighs 250 kg. Glove rooms usually group many machines per operator, so aisle width, yarn creel access and a place for finished pairs all matter. Ask for the installation drawing early and lay out the floor from it. [2]

SJT2004 or SJL204

Jinlong's newer SJL204 has a seven-inch touch panel, servo and stepper drives, USB program copying and remote production data. The SJT2004 description lists keyboard programming and a variable-frequency drive. The two machines should be quoted and tested separately.

If you want touch control, remote order scheduling or stepper-controlled density, request the SJL204 package by name. The output and energy gains published for SJL204 apply to that model. When a demonstration is offered, check that the machine running is the SJT2004 you are pricing. [3] [4]

Trial the SJT2004 on your own glove

Trial steps to agree with Jinlong

Jinlong names work gloves and cold-weather and fashion gloves as uses. Cut resistance, thermal rating and other protective claims belong to the finished glove and need their own product tests. Plan a sample run on your yarn with the configuration you are buying. [1]

  1. Fix the sample

Record the yarn, gauge, glove size, finger and cuff build and colours. Agree tolerances and workmanship, and keep one approved reference glove.

  2. Set up the quoted machine

Run the configuration named in the offer, with the colour and air devices and size programs you will use. Note every adjustment made during set-up.

  3. Test stops and restarts

Ask Jinlong's technician to trigger the agreed stops safely. Note the signal, the operator action and the restart, then inspect the next gloves knitted.

  4. Count accepted pairs

Run for an agreed period and count good pairs, rejects and stoppages separately. Write down the yarn and settings with the result before comparing it with the 80-pair figure.

What to put in the quote and handover

Ask for the SJT2004 configuration, gauge and included devices, the electrical and air needs, the installation drawing, manuals, maintenance notes and a spares list. Write the sample trial, commissioning, operator training and the transfer of glove programs and settings into the contract.

The model pages give no price, lead time or warranty terms, and no spare-parts response time. Ask for these in the offer. Request current certificates that cover this machine, your market and the company signing the contract. [1] [3]

Sources & limitations

Before ordering, have Jinlong put in writing the SJT2004 configuration and gauge (10G included, if that is your gauge), the colour and air devices in the price, the supply phase, voltage and wiring, the installation drawing and packed weight, and what comes with the machine in glove programs, manuals, operator training and spares. Measure output and operator load in a trial on your own glove, and test protective glove ratings separately.
