Shaoxing Jinlong Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Shaoxing Jinlong builds computerised glove knitting machines and sock machines in Keqiao, Shaoxing, and its company history also names a flat-knitting model. For gloves there are two lines to choose between. The SJT2000 and SJT2004 share one brochure: SJT2000 is listed at 7G and 10G, SJT2004 at 13G, 15G and 18G, both with keyboard programming. The SJL204 is the newer machine, with a touch panel, servo and stepper drives and remote production data. To get a useful quote, send Jinlong your glove sample, yarn and target gauge, and name the model and functions you want priced.

Jinlong, Jinteng and the wider knitting range

Jinlong says it was set up in October 2003 and took over Shaoxing Jinteng Knitting Machinery in 2011. Both Jinlong and Jinteng are registered marks of the company. That explains why older machine literature carries the Jinteng name. If you find an old Jinteng model you like, ask whether Jinlong still builds it and in what form.

Jinlong makes computerised glove knitting machines alongside the SJT252-S flat-knitting machine and several SJL sock machines, among them terry, dual-purpose and double-cylinder models. The website splits glove and sock machinery into separate menus. Quote requests work best when they stay inside the glove line and name one model, one gauge and the functions you need.

The company introduction also describes an in-house R&D centre with machining and testing shops. A separate factory-equipment page shows photos of machines with short captions. If plant capacity or calibrated test equipment matters to your decision, put those questions on your factory visit list. [1] [5]

SJT2000, SJT2004 and SJL204 at a glance

  • SJT2000 covers the coarser 7G and 10G work; SJT2004 covers the finer 13G, 15G and 18G gloves.
  • The touch, servo and data features belong to the SJL204. The SJT2004 uses keyboard programming.

The SJT2004 product page carries text written for the whole SJT2000/2004 family. The brochure then gives each machine its own column, so pair every number with the column it sits under. On gauge, the brochure lists SJT2004 at 13G, 15G and 18G, while the company's model list on the main page also names 10G for it. If you want SJT2004 at 10G, get Jinlong to confirm that gauge in writing with the quote. The SJT2004 equipment page collects the published details for that model in one place. [1] [2] [3] [4]

How each machine is programmed, watched and restarted

Jinlong describes the SJT2000/2004 as sinker machines with keyboard computer programming, a variable-frequency drive and an inlaid needle bed. Two-colour and air-spray devices are listed. The machine stops on yarn breakage, poor fabric drop, count reached and motor overload, and a central pump handles lubrication. When you compare offers, compare the full configuration and ask which of these devices are in the base price.

The SJL204 has a seven-inch touch panel with USB program copying. A servo drives the machine, and stepper motors control finger division, density, the scissors and elastic-yarn feed. Jinlong also offers remote order scheduling, parameter setting and production statistics on this model. Ask which controller and software version come with your package, what network hardware is included, and how it would link to the systems you already run.

Jinlong's SJL204 page claims percentage gains in output and energy use over an earlier design. It gives no matched glove run behind those figures. Measure accepted gloves and energy on your own job and compare those numbers instead. [2] [4]

Hosiery standard history and certificates

China's National Public Service Platform for Standards Information names Zhejiang Shaoxing Jinlong Machinery Manufacturing as one of the drafters of FZ/T 97021-2009, Computerised Hosiery Machines. It was published on 20 January 2010 and took effect on 1 June 2010. The record now shows it as withdrawn.

So the company helped write a sock-machine standard more than a decade ago. That standard covers hosiery machines, and it says nothing about a particular glove machine leaving the factory today. Jinlong also states more broadly that it drafted glove and hosiery standards; the official record above is the one entry that names it.

The company page still mentions ISO9001:2008 and CE. For your order, request the current certificates with their scope, issued for the exact machine, your destination market and the company that will sign the contract. [1] [6]

Buying and acceptance steps

Jinlong says the SJT family can knit full-finger, half-finger and other glove styles for work and cold-weather use. Protective ratings such as cut resistance or thermal performance belong to the finished glove and come from separate product tests. Decide which glove you will sell and which product tests it needs before you plan output on the machine. [2]

  1. Fix the glove and gauge

Send yarn, glove sizes, finger and cuff details and a reference sample. If you need SJT2004 at 10G, settle that gauge with Jinlong first, then agree the exact machine configuration to be quoted.

  2. Knit your actual glove

Ask Jinlong to knit the buyer's own yarn into the programmed sample, with the colour and air devices you are buying switched on. For SJL204, run the software and data functions you are paying for. For SJT2004, insist on seeing the SJT2004 itself with its keyboard controls.

  3. Watch stops and restarts

Agree with Jinlong how to trigger the listed stop functions safely and how the operator restarts the machine. During the acceptance run, record good pairs, rejects and every stoppage, so you judge the machine on results.

  4. Agree the handover

Ask for the configuration list, electrical and air supply needs, manuals, consumables and spare parts, and the training plan. Agree in writing how the glove programs, settings and accepted-sample records will be handed over and kept.

Turning brochure output into a staffing plan

The shared brochure gives a different nominal output for SJT2000 and for SJT2004, plus one range for how many machines a single operator can mind. It adds a glove-weight figure. It leaves yarn, glove size, quality standard and downtime undefined, so those numbers are a starting point for planning and need your own run before they drive labour or capacity sums.

To build a real plan, fix your glove mix and how often you change styles, then count accepted pairs over a set run. Include yarn handling, quality checks, stops and refilling when you judge how many machines one person can run. Record SJT2000, SJT2004 and SJL204 results on separate sheets, so the figures you plan with come from the model you are actually buying. [3]

Sources & review

Before ordering, ask Jinlong to confirm in writing: the exact model and configuration being quoted, the gauge (including 10G if you want it on SJT2004), which colour, air and stop functions are included, the SJL204 software and network scope, current ISO and CE certificates for your machine and market, and the programs, manuals, training and spare parts you will receive. Judge output and energy use from a glove trial on your own yarn rather than from catalogue figures. A factory visit is the place to check machining and test capacity, and finished-glove protection ratings need their own product tests.
