LB-192 · Yarn covering

Equipment model · LB-192
The LB-192 is a computer-controlled yarn covering machine from Lanbo for wrapping spandex in one or two layers. It is two-sided with two levels and comes with 192, 256 or 288 spindles. Spindle speed runs from 9000 to 16000 r/min, twist from 200 to 3000 turns per metre in S or Z, and draft from 1.6 to 6. Lanbo's text also mentions metallic, rubber and silk covering. To price it, send your core and cover yarns, the layer count, the spindle count you want and the take-up tube length.

LB-192 data from Lanbo's technical tab
Lanbo puts the LB-192 figures on a separate technical tab of its product page. Several rows offer a choice of values, so every quotation should name one build and pair the spindle count with its motor and length. The guide on how to compare configurations explains why two quotes for the same model can differ. [1]

| Item | Lanbo's figure | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Layout | Two-sided, two-level | Which working positions an operator can reach, and the yarn path on each side. |
| Spindles | 192 / 256 / 288 | How many finished ends each count delivers in single and in double covering. |
| Power | 13 / 15 / 18.5 / 22 kW | Which rating goes with your spindle count, and what loads it covers. |
| Dimensions | 16400 × 1400 × 2100 mm, L × W × H | Whether the size holds for your spindle count, plus room for service access. |
| Spindle speed | 9000–16000 r/min | The speed Lanbo will set for your material and build. |
| Twist and direction | 200–3000 turns/m; S or Z | How twist is set, and the direction for each layer in double covering. |
| Draft ratio | 1.6–6 | The draft range that fits your core yarn and construction. |
| Speed control / take-up | Inverter plus computer control / electronic forming | The controller, drives and software in the delivery. |
Covering layers, yarn path and materials
Single covering wraps the core once and double covering wraps it twice, with a twist direction for each layer. Tell Lanbo the core, the cover yarn, how many layers you need and the stretch you expect. In return, ask for a thread-path drawing that marks the spindles in use and the number of finished ends.
Confirm how S or Z twist is selected per layer and whether changing it needs a stop. Background on spandex covering and its variants sits in the sourcing note on elastic yarn machines.
Next to spandex, Lanbo's description lists metallic, rubber and silk covering. Each of those calls for a separate run on your material, and the offer should name the guides, spindles and settings it requires. [1]
Supply bobbins and take-up tubes
Cover yarn feeds from an aluminium bobbin of D84 × d36 × 140 mm. Lanbo rates it at less than 1000 g of outer-cover yarn, so keep bobbin loads under 1 kg and ask for a dimensioned drawing.
Finished yarn winds onto a take-up tube marked d56 × D62 × L220 / L160 mm. Choose L220 or L160 to suit the creel or feeder in your next process. Ask Lanbo for the finished package weight and diameter, which the table leaves out; the bobbin weight limit applies to the feed side only.
Lanbo suggests its BL-220, BL-626 and BL-828A winders for bobbin preparation. They are separate machines with their own prices, so add one to the enquiry if your yarn arrives on other packages. [1]
Control package and running changes
The product description reads full computer control or electronic forming, while the technical tab reads inverter plus computer control with electronic take-up forming. Ask Lanbo to list the exact controller, drives and software in the offer, and to say whether the wording means two options or one combined system.
During a demonstration, have the operator store a recipe, recall it, adjust speed, twist and draft, and build a package on your yarn. Find out which changes need the machine halted and how the manual says to restart it.
There is no tension accuracy figure, no automatic piecing and no full utility schedule in Lanbo's data. If your purchase depends on any of them, write that requirement into the enquiry. Request the electrical supply data for the chosen motor too, so your plant can size cables and protection. [1]
Spindle parts and servicing
Lanbo also sells spindles as parts, listed as LB-4101 to LB-4106 on a trade directory, each rated at a speed of its own. Those ratings describe the parts; for the whole machine, the LB-192 range of 9000–16000 r/min is the one that counts.
Ask which spindle reference is fitted to your build, how the bobbin seats on it and what bearing and lubrication care it needs. A full spare-part list, with any approved replacement revisions, belongs in the offer. [1] [2]
A trial run on your own yarn
Judge the LB-192 by the yarn you can sell from a full run. Settle sampling, tolerances and the settings Lanbo approves before the trial starts. [1]
Set the target
Fix yarn lots and counts, layers, twist direction per layer, draft and the end use of the yarn.
Lock the machine setup
Name the version, the positions running, the packages and tube length, and the control recipe.
Cover a whole package cycle
Watch steady running, stops, restarts and package changes, and log the settings and the time of each event.
Measure the covered yarn
Check coverage, faults, linear density, elongation and recovery by the methods both sides agreed.
Unwind on your own line
Feed packages near full and near empty into the next process, and look at their build and how they unwind.
Work out sellable output
Add up accepted yarn and losses across the run; top spindle speed alone says little about output.
What a complete LB-192 offer includes
Ask for a layout drawing and a load schedule for the exact spindle count, motor and accessories, with service clearances added. Lanbo gives one set of dimensions for every option.
The delivery file should hold bobbin and tube drawings, the material range, the agreed recipe, manuals, maintenance instructions and spare-part references. Plan commissioning and operator training around the yarn you will produce.
Lanbo's contact page names Lanbo alongside a second company, Wanju. Settle which one sells the machine and carries the warranty, and ask for conformity documents that name this equipment and its scope. Machines that feed or follow the LB-192 in a mill appear among the spinning machinery listings. [1] [3]

Sources & limitations
Have Lanbo confirm in writing before you sign: one build that ties spindle count, power and footprint together; the speed, twist and draft settings for your yarn; the take-up tube length and finished package size; the control package and fitted spindle; which company sells and warrants the machine; and the trial results you will accept.
