Shaoxing Dawei Knitting Machinery makes intelligent work-glove knitting machines in the Keqiao district of Shaoxing. Two models carry its range. The GK2018 has a compact, light head for lightweight gloves and is offered in four gauges from 10G to 18G, with automatic cuff overlocking fitted as standard. The GK2023 is built for terry gloves, with a larger head and special needles and sinkers. Pick the model by the glove you sell, then send Dawei a sample, the yarn, the gauge and the optional functions you need.
GK2023: larger head, coarse cotton, terry loops from special needles and sinkers
Dawei keeps its two glove machines apart by the kind of glove they knit. The GK2018 compact-head machine has a smaller and lighter knitting head. Dawei aims it at thin gloves for dexterous hand work, and names glove applications in the electronics industry. Its drive moved from the older mechanical transmission to a servo motor.
The GK2023 targets terry gloves. Its head is somewhat larger than the GK2018 head, it runs coarser cotton yarn, and it uses special needles and sinkers to raise the loops. Dawei describes brushing and dipping after knitting to make thicker gloves for winter wear or cold-store work. Those finishing steps happen on other lines, so plan and price them on their own.
If your gloves need an antistatic, cut-resistant or other protective rating, test the finished glove to the standard your customers name. The machine model sets the knit; the yarn, coating and finishing decide the rating. [2][3]

What comes with a GK2018 and what costs extra
Dawei fits automatic overlocking on every GK2018, so the cuff is finished on the machine and a separate overlocking station drops out of the line. Everything else on the product page sits in an option list. Ask for a quotation that prices each option on its own line, so two offers can be set against each other item by item. [2]

GK2018 gauges, daily pairs and utility data
The GK2018 specification sheet gives a pair count per 24 hours for each gauge. Finer gauges knit fewer pairs. The sheet does not say which yarn, glove size, pattern or stoppage allowance sits behind each figure, so treat the range as a starting point for your own trial. The knitting gauge guide explains how needle spacing changes the glove and the speed.
For 18G, the Chinese column prints 150 to 200 pairs and the English column prints 180 to 200. Ask Dawei to confirm the 18G figure for your glove in writing.
Further down, the sheet gives the carriage as 112 mm, notes automatic oil supply and rates the machine at 170 W on a single-phase 220 V line. Packed, the machine measures 1090 × 460 × 1170 mm and weighs 170 kg net or 190 kg gross. Those are case sizes, so ask for an installed floor layout and the full utility list for the build you order. A family glove-machine business in Keqiao
Dawei calls itself a family business. Its introduction traces experience in glove machines, flat knitting machines and hosiery machines, and names earlier work with Jinteng glove machines and with the Dawei flat-knitting brand. The company now concentrates on intelligent work-glove machines.
The introduction speaks of more than 30 years in the trade but gives no start date. If the founding year of the legal company matters to your approval process, ask for the business licence. Our short note on reading a manufacturer profile names the other papers that help when you vet a new supplier. [1]
05
How Dawei describes its quality checks
Dawei's quality page sets out four stages. Purchased parts are inspected on arrival before they go into the store. Inspectors patrol the workshop during assembly. Each process is written up in detail, and faults can be traced back to the person responsible.
That gives you specific questions to ask. Request the inspection record for the serial number you will receive, the tolerances the inspectors work to, and the calibration dates of the gauges they use. Ask to see the functions that matter for your glove running on the finished machine before it is packed. [1][4]

Listed at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024
The ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 exhibitor directory carries SHAOXING DAWEI KNITTING MACHINERY CO., LTD. under its full Chinese legal name, with the company website, an address in the Kebei industrial area and booth H4-F19. The listing ties the company you are talking to with a dated public record.
A fair listing says nothing about distributors, machine certificates or which options are in stock today. Raise each of those with Dawei directly when you request the offer. [5]

Plan a trial on your own glove
A trial on your own yarn tells you more than any catalogue range. Fix the glove first, then run the machine with every option you are paying for, and count pairs that pass your inspection. The same rules should apply to every supplier you shortlist, which also makes the trial a sound basis for acceptance at the factory.
Dawei says the GK2018 knits more and uses less electricity each day than older machines, without naming the glove or the test behind the percentages. If running cost weighs on your decision, meter the rated input over the trial period and divide by accepted pairs. [2][3]
Fix the glove
For a GK2018, agree gauge, yarn, glove size, cuff, colours and finger style before the clock starts.
Fit the options
Install every device on the quotation and stop the machine on purpose to watch the detection and restart.
Count good pairs
Log run time, stoppages, operator interventions and rejects, then count only the pairs that pass.
Split terry from finishing
For a GK2023, knit the terry glove first and judge brushing or dipping as a separate stage against your product sheet.
Keep the record
Save the program, settings, samples, pair count and meter readings with the signed trial report.

Generic knitting machinery illustration · not the listed equipment
The GK2018 is a compact-head glove knitting machine from Dawei for thin work gloves. It comes in 10G, 13G, 15G and 18G, with sheet outputs from 360–380 pairs a day at 10G down to 180–200 at 15G. Cuff overlocking is built in; glove arranging, needle detection and pattern functions are extras. It draws 170 W on single-phase 220 V. Send your glove sample, yarn and gauge to get a price.
Checklist and notes are not uploaded or saved after reload. Copy or download a draft to keep it. Opening the workspace does not send this draft.
Sources & review
Before ordering, ask Dawei to confirm in writing: the model and gauge, the 18G pair figure if you need that gauge, each option in the price with U2 and U3 defined, the installed layout and utility list, the inspection record for your serial number, and the training, wear parts and warranty that come with the machine. Any protective rating belongs to the finished glove and needs its own test.
