LX600 · Chenille yarn

Generic spinning machinery illustration · not the listed equipment

Equipment model · LX600

The LX600 is a sectional chenille-yarn machine built by Xinchang Lanxiang Machinery. It makes chenille, large-belly and pearl yarn, and different sections can run different patterns. Servo motors drive the rollers, while frequency converters drive the ring and hollow spindles. Lanxiang's 2022 Chinese catalogue lists a 1–25 Nm count range, 4–18.5 m/min delivery and sections of ten spindles at 200 mm pitch, with up to fifteen sections per machine. To get a quote, send a reference yarn with its component yarns and finished count, name the section count you want, and ask for a trial on that exact configuration.

What the LX600 makes and what to send with an enquiry

  • Send a physical reference yarn along with any photographs.
  • Judge the yarn in your next process as well as on the package.

Lanxiang's current product page presents the LX600 for chenille and large-belly yarn. The illustrated brochure adds pearl yarn and says separate sections can carry separate patterns. A new fibre mix or visual effect may need development work on the machine, so agree in the quote who carries that work and how many sample rounds it includes.

Your enquiry should carry an approved reference yarn plus the details behind it: the component yarns and their count system, the finished count, the twist direction and the fabric the yarn will go into. List the visual and handling features that must match. A picture shows the look of a yarn, while the physical sample tells the maker its material and mass per length.

Lanxiang names home textiles, apparel and decorative fabrics as end uses. The LX600 produces the yarn; curtains, knitwear and upholstery are made later in the chain. Run the trial yarn through your own weaving or knitting step before you approve it for one of those uses. [1] [2]

Roller, spindle and section drives, and the questions they raise

The current page splits the machine into three drive groups: servo-driven rollers, a lifting motor with reducer that builds the package, and ring and hollow spindles under frequency-converter control. The brochure adds section-by-section control and an optional checking light. The table turns each element into a question for the configuration you plan to buy, so you know which sensors, software functions and motors the offer includes. [1] [2]

Count, delivery and spindle speeds from the 2022 catalogue

Lanxiang's earlier Chinese catalogue, with a page date of 18 November 2022, lists a count range of 1–25 Nm, delivery of 4–18.5 m/min, ring speed of 3,000–12,500 rpm and rotating-head speed of 500–24,000 rpm. The current product page has replaced that catalogue page, so ask Lanxiang to reissue these figures for the machine it quotes.

Each figure measures something different. Delivery speed is the length of yarn produced per minute. Ring speed and rotating-head speed belong to two separate rotating parts. The top ends of the three ranges seldom meet in one recipe, and spindle rpm tells you little about kilograms per shift.

Ask for one setting sheet matched to your yarn: active spindles, finished count, delivery speed and both rotational speeds. Then measure accepted yarn over an agreed run and log stops and rejects. Those numbers let you set the LX600 offer against another configuration on equal terms. [3]

Sections, machine length and the installation drawing

The 2022 catalogue gives ten spindles per section, up to fifteen sections, a 200 mm spindle pitch and a 2.02 m section length. These figures describe the repeating frame. End units, service openings, yarn-loading routes and workshop clearances come on top of them.

The current illustrated drawing marks 2020 per section and 21400 for the whole machine, and it shows how far the cabinet doors swing open. The machine drawn may have a different section count from the one you order. The older text gives a 1.5 m width without saying whether the creel and open doors are counted, so plan floor space from a drawing of your own configuration.

Send your workshop plan and ask for an approved general-arrangement drawing for the quoted section count. It should mark the machine body, creel, electrical cabinet, open doors, loading access and maintenance access as separate zones. Set aisles and foundations only from a drawing that carries units, a revision number and installation notes. [3] [4]

Seven segments or sixteen: settle the pattern control

Lanxiang's older Chinese catalogue describes large-belly yarn with seven segments. The current English brochure speaks of sixteen segments and, further on, sixteen cycles. The change could reflect a newer controller, a different number of programmable zones or simply new terms for the same function.

Send the repeat pattern you need and ask which machine and controller revision can reproduce it. Ask for a demonstration sample and a short written note on what a segment or a cycle means in that recipe. The offer should then list the pattern functions it includes. [2] [3]

Run a trial that compares like with like

Buyer's trial plan to agree with Lanxiang before the run

Lanxiang publishes capability and control descriptions for the LX600 but no test report on a buyer's sample. Agree the trial scope below before the run, and set the numerical pass limits with the people who own the finished yarn and the downstream product. [1] [2]

  1. Fix the inputs

Plan a trial with your own yarn lots. Name the finished count, twist direction, repeat pattern and package requirement, keep an approved comparison sample, and note the machine and controller revision.

  2. Write down the recipe

Record the active sections and spindles, roller settings, ring and head speeds, delivery speed and package-building settings. Log every adjustment made during the run as a separate condition.

  3. Count accepted yarn

Agree the run length and where samples are taken across the sections. Record accepted yarn, rejects, breaks, package changes and stopped time on separate lines, and add a fabric trial when your end use calls for one.

  4. Close out the trial

Settle any deviations against the agreed sample criteria. Collect the delivered settings, changeover instructions, parts list and inspection record before you sign the trial off as accepted.

What the quotation should cover

Ask for the supply voltage, phase, frequency and connected load of the delivered configuration, plus any compressed-air or extraction needs. If the quote leaves a utility blank, ask Lanxiang whether the machine needs it.

List what comes with the machine: creel, rings, tubes, recipe functions, checking lights, commissioning, training and the first set of spare parts. Request the operating manual and the instructions for safe isolation, cleaning, clearing jams and restarting. The maintenance articles on the company website are general, so ask for a service schedule written for the LX600.

The brochure quotes an energy-saving percentage without naming the comparison machine, yarn or test method. If energy cost matters to you, meter power use during the sample run and set it against the accepted output from that same run. [1] [2] [5]

Buyer questions

Does the top spindle speed tell me how many kilograms I will get per shift?

No. Ring rpm, rotating-head rpm and delivery in m/min each measure a different thing. Fix the yarn, the active spindle count and the recipe, then record accepted output, rejects and stopped time during an agreed trial. [3]

Can I plan floor space from the 1.5 m width in the old catalogue?

Only as a starting point. The current drawing shows the creel and the door-opening space, which the older text leaves out. Ask for an approved drawing for your exact section count that includes loading and service access. [3] [4]

Sources & limitations

The figures above come from Lanxiang's current LX600 page and brochure images and from its 2022 Chinese catalogue. Before you order, get written confirmation from Lanxiang of the current count, delivery and spindle-speed figures for the quoted machine; the section count and an installation drawing for it; what the seven or sixteen pattern segments mean on the controller you will receive; the power, air and extraction needs; the energy figure measured on your sample; and the price, delivery date and conformity documents. Base the order on an agreed sample trial and the written offer tied to it.
