Zhuji Boqiu Textile Machinery Co., Ltd.

Zhuji Boqiu Textile Machinery builds automatic warp knotters in Zhuji, Zhejiang, and also sells knotting-machine accessories. There are three models. The BQ198 comes in versions for leased, unleased and mixed warp sheets, with single or double knots. The BQ188 has an adjustable speed of 60–600 knots per minute and covers filament from 20–2,200 dtex. The compact BQ178 is meant for narrow-fabric looms, runs at 240–480 ends per minute and needs a leased warp. To get a quote, tell Boqiu how both warp sheets are leased, which knot you need and what yarn you are tying.

Which Boqiu knotter matches your warp change

Boqiu divides its range by how the warp is prepared and where the knotter has to stand. The BQ198 covers the widest set of lease and knot setups. The BQ188 is the model with a published speed range and an electronic counter. The BQ178 is the small machine for narrow looms packed close together.

Each row below starts from the job in your mill. The last column is the first point to settle with Boqiu before the quote is drawn up. [1] [2] [3] [4]

BQ198: one model name, several lease setups

  • Cam-driven 1:1 lease as standard
  • Type 10 unit for 2:2, 3:3, 4:4 and irregular repeats
  • Button switch between single and double knots

Alongside its general model, Boqiu lists BQ198 versions for unleased warps, for a mix of leased and unleased sheets, and for double knots. Out of the box the machine separates ends with a cam-driven 1:1 lease. A type 10 lease-change unit is offered for 1:1, 2:2, 3:3 and 4:4 repeats and for programmed irregular ones.

Boqiu's lease diagram shows every upper and lower combination: both sheets leased, neither leased, or one of the two. Buttons engage the lease devices. Work out which side the old warp sits on and which side the incoming warp sits on before you pick a version.

The ends are held by two independent yarn clamps. Needle positions can be moved for elastic and textured yarn, and clamp pressure adapts to yarn thickness. A button changes the head from single to double knots. Boqiu says the standard machine copes with all yarn types, so bring the hardest yarn on your list to the demonstration. [1] [2]

BQ188: adjustable speed and an empty-knot stop

Boqiu gives the BQ188 a stepless speed range of 60–600 knots per minute, chosen according to yarn quality. The machine stops after three empty knots and carries an electronic counter. During a demonstration, watch how an empty knot is sensed, what the counter adds up and how the operator gets going again after a stop.

For man-made filament the listed range is 20–2,200 dtex. Spun yarn is printed as 6–100 支, and the page does not name the count system behind that figure. Ask Boqiu whether it means Ne or Nm, and say whether your yarn is single or plied.

Boqiu names air-jet, water-jet and rapier looms as typical users and describes a double clamping system that grips each end. No error rate or full warp-change time is published. The speed covers the knotting run alone, so time the setup, the checks and the loom restart on their own. [3]

BQ178: a compact knotter that needs a lease

The BQ178 is aimed at narrow-fabric weaving, small beams and the tight gaps between neighbouring looms. Boqiu describes a small movable body that ties double knots and works without an electrical power supply. Ask to see how it is driven and handled in a space like yours.

Yarn separation on this model works from a lease, and Boqiu states the lease is a must. Other Boqiu machines handle unleased warps; this one does not, so check your warp preparation first.

The listed rate is 240–480 ends per minute. An N-type tension device keeps the ends taut, and the machine stops when a single yarn has not been separated. Boqiu also claims 100% accuracy without giving a test method, sample size or yarn. Check separation and knot quality on your own beam and yarn. [4]

Time the whole warp change in a trial

Trial planning for warp knotters

A knotting speed only tells you how fast the head runs. Run a trial on your own warp and split it into preparation, knotting, recovery from stops and final inspection. Use the same warp sample if you compare two Boqiu models.

  1. Describe both warp sheets

Note the material, count with its unit, end count, lease pattern, tension and working width. For a BQ178, photograph the space around the beam.

  2. See the functions you are buying

On a BQ198, change the agreed lease and knot settings. On a BQ188, show the counter and the empty-knot stop. On a BQ178, separate leased yarn in a space like yours.

  3. Check before you count the saving

Log missed or wrong ties and the minutes spent fixing them, then check the knots and the restart. Keep the conditions with the times in an acceptance record, so the head speed is never read as the time for a full warp change.

Company background

Boqiu describes itself as a developer and maker of automatic warp knotters sold under its own name. Its product menu also has a separate section for knotting-machine accessories, so ask what spare clamps and needles it keeps for the model you choose. The company pages give no production capacity, workshop flow or inspection records per model; ask for those if your manufacturer profile checks need them.

Boqiu appears in the exhibitor list for ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 as ZHUJI BOQIU TEXTILE MACHINERY CO., LTD. with its Chinese legal name and the same official website, at booth H3-B08. The listing dates from that fair and says nothing about current certificates, export service or machine output.

The fair directory and the company website give different street addresses inside Zhuji. Ask Boqiu for the current address before planning a visit or a delivery. [1] [5]

BQ198

The BQ198 from Boqiu ties a new warp to the old one on a mobile frame away from the loom. It is rated at up to 600 knots per minute, with frames from 1 to 4 m and a choice of four versions for leased, unleased, mixed or double-knot work. Send the lease drawing, yarn samples, end count and frame width you need, and name the version you want quoted.
