Jiabao Textile Machinery

Shaoxing Jiabao designs and builds electronic jacquard heads at Chongren in Shengzhou. Its catalogue groups them into NH, NK, NX, JZ and NHC/NKC/NXC families. The NH comes with 5,376, 7,168, 8,960 or 10,752 hooks in 32 columns, and the NK with 2,880 or 5,376 hooks in 24 columns. Both carry a top speed of 650 r/min and the same front and rear opening heights. For a useful quote, send Jiabao your loom model, fabric width, weave repeat and the number of warp ends the jacquard must control.

NH and NK side by side

Jiabao prints the main data for both families as images on its model pages. They share a speed rating and opening heights. They part ways on hook counts, column layout and what the table says about controls. The larger family has its own equipment page, the NH electronic jacquard, with the per-model layout figures.

When two quotes arrive, check which family each one names and ask for that family's data sheet. A matching 650 r/min figure tells you nothing about whether the heads, controllers or mounting drawings are alike. [1] [2]

Buy the head as part of the loom's shedding system

A jacquard head only works through its harness, support, drive and controller, so Jiabao has to see the whole loom. Tell them the loom maker and model, the fabric width, weave repeat, controlled warp ends and the conditions you plan to run. Ask for a hook allocation and harness layout that turns your pattern into cloth on that loom. On a jacquard loom, a head with enough hooks on paper can still come up short on width or repeat once the harness is laid out.

Jiabao describes the NH motion as conjugate cams, made by integral forging and CNC machining, with a split rocker arm. The company links this to longer life, more load capacity and less heald movement. Ask how those gains carry over to the harness weight and speed you have in mind, and write any figure you depend on into the contract.

One component is described as equal in size to an M5 part. If the head goes onto an existing loom, send drawings of that loom and ask for drawings of the unit offered. Dimensions, fastening, drive and control connections can then be compared line by line. Jiabao's other heads sit within the wider weaving machinery range if you want to compare suppliers. [1] [2]

Plan the overhead space from the model drawing

The NH page has an A–E sketch with one row of figures for each of NH5376, NH7168, NH8960 and NH10752. The numbers grow with the hook count, and no unit is printed. Get a current dimensioned drawing with units, showing the support and drive parts too, before anyone designs a platform.

Ask for an offer that prices the head, support frame, harness, drive parts, controller and installation as separate lines. That makes each configuration easy to set against a rival offer. Request the loads, access space and maintenance clearances, and have the engineer responsible for your building approve the support.

For an upgrade, send photos and measured drawings of the current loom, the free height above it and the way patterns are prepared and loaded today. Agree in writing which parts stay, which are replaced and what is recommissioned. Two looms of equal width can still need quite different installations. [1] [2]

Accept the jacquard on a woven sample pattern

Weaving an agreed sample pattern on the proposed set-up is the clearest test of a jacquard. Settle the pattern and the fabric specification with Jiabao before the trial starts. The steps below are a buyer's plan; Jiabao has published no such run for this listing. [1] [2]

  1. Fix the pattern and hook allocation

Write down the repeat, the ends to be controlled, the hook allocation and the harness tie. Ask how pattern files are prepared and sent to the controller Jiabao is offering.

  2. Set up on the real loom

Compare the head, drive connection and opening settings with the approved installation plan. Note the exact head and harness that were fitted.

  3. Judge the cloth

Agree beforehand how pattern accuracy and fabric faults will be scored. Keep the samples, and log speed, yarn and pattern settings next to each result.

  4. Stop, change and restart

Have Jiabao's engineer run normal stops, a pattern change and a restart by the operating instructions. Note what the operator has to do at each point.

  5. Close out the handover

List deviations, final settings and any fixes still owed. Collect manuals, training, the spare parts list and a written commissioning procedure that can be repeated.

Company records and what Jiabao says about itself

A two-page document hosted by India's Office of the Textile Commissioner holds a 2017 notarisation of Jiabao's business-licence copy, with later authentication stamps. Its Chinese company name and Chongren address match the current website. It speaks to the company's identity at that date and covers neither the NH and NK machines nor any present approval.

The company introduction mentions technology-enterprise recognition, an R&D centre and patents. If any of these matter to your purchase, ask for current certificates and patent numbers, then look the numbers up in the Chinese patent records. Keep these papers in your manufacturer profile file, apart from the technical acceptance of the machine. [3] [4] [5]

NH electronic jacquard

Jiabao's NH electronic jacquard comes in four sizes from 5,376 to 10,752 hooks and is rated at up to 650 r/min, with front and rear shed openings of 50–90 mm and 90–130 mm. Controls use optical fibre, a touchscreen and USB. To get a quote, send the loom model, weaving width, repeat and controlled ends, and state which of the harness, support and controller you want included.

Data on this page comes from Jiabao's NH and NK model pages, its company and contact pages, and a 2017 notarised licence copy. No one from the site has seen a Jiabao head installed or toured its plant. Before ordering, ask Jiabao to confirm in writing: the hook allocation and harness plan for your loom, the dimension units and mounting loads, the speed it will hold on your pattern, the controller and file formats supplied, any certificates or patents you rely on, and the commercial terms for price, delivery, warranty and spares.
