Shaoxing Textile Machinery Group builds rapier looms for several distinct weaving jobs. Its current catalogue names separate machines for paper cord, metal wire, coarse yarn and terry towelling, and the company dates its business to 1975. The best-documented model is the SJ758 paper-cord loom, listed for paper cord, nylon filament and mat grass with PLC control and multicolour weft selection. To get a useful quote, tell the sales team what you weave, send a piece of the real material and a fabric sample, and request the data sheet for the precise model and suffix on offer.
The current product index sorts the rapier looms by job. Several entries share the SJ prefix, yet a wire loom and a towel loom are built for very different work. Start from the material on your creel, then ask for the sheet that belongs to that entry.
The company introduction adds air-jet looms, texturing machines and computerised flat-knitting machines to the group's range. Those families have no current model sheets in the catalogue sections listed here, so ask the sales team for a data sheet if one of them is on your list. The rapier entries below sit within the wider weaving machinery market. [1][2][3]

SJ758: a rapier loom for paper cord and mat grass
Listed materials: paper cord, nylon filament, mat grass
Two parameter blocks on one page; get a single sheet for your version
The SJ758 paper-cord loom is listed for three materials: paper cord, nylon filament and mat grass. Its description covers PLC control, automatic weft finding, a stop when the weft breaks, weft selection across several colours and semi-automatic oil supply. Each cord build behaves differently in the shed, so the list of materials is a starting point for your enquiry.
The model page prints two parameter blocks that disagree. Block one gives four to six weft colours and a cloth roll of up to 300 mm across. Block two gives six colours, a take-up diameter of 400, upper and lower warp beams and a pile-forming motion, which reads like a terry layout. Block one also groups widths and speeds in one row without clear pairing, and its weft-density line starts with a garbled symbol.
The homepage entry and the catalogue entry show identical tables, so a second link gives no cleaner version. Ask Shaoxing Textile for one paper-cord sheet naming the version, width, speed and density for your cord. The cotton, wool and filament ranges in block two describe a different job. Full table details are on the SJ758 equipment page. [2][4]
03
Weave a sample of your own cord before you sign
A cord loom earns its price on your material, so build the order around a woven sample. The plan below is for you and the supplier to agree; the catalogue reports no such run for the SJ758. A trial with your own material also gives both sides a shared reference for later acceptance. [2][4]
Ship the real cord
Send material, construction, width or diameter, package type and moisture state, plus a few metres of the finished product you want to match.
Agree the loom build
Write down the version, reed width, shedding motion, number of weft colours and feeders, insertion and take-up. Settle which parameter block applies before any figure goes into the contract.
Watch the cord feed
At the agreed settings, log how the cord unwinds, every break and stop, and each time an operator steps in. Run the colour sequence you will use in production.
Score the cloth
Set width, structure and fault limits in advance. Keep cut samples with a note of cord condition, speed and settings.
Measure a full run
Count accepted cloth, stops, waste and changeover time over an agreed period. Keep the settings and samples as the reference for commissioning at your plant.
04
Quote scope, installation and who answers technical questions
Cord and wire weaving often needs extra feeders, preparation gear and cloth handling around the loom. Ask for an offer that lists each of these as included or excluded, together with the layout drawing, power and utility loads and access space for your width and version.
The contact page lists separate desks for technical consultation, after-sales, sales and international business. Send machine questions to the technical desk and keep commercial terms with sales. Service hours and response times are not printed, so put them in the contract.
Settle installation, operator training, manuals, lubrication and wear parts in writing. For cord or wire, ask how the feeding and insertion parts are serviced and how often they are replaced, since these parts see the hardest wear. [2][5]

Company background and association membership
The company introduction traces the business to 1975 and describes design and manufacturing teams, a group of related companies and a machinery range wider than rapier looms. It also gives floor area, output capacity, certificates and honours. If any of these figures matter to your purchase, ask for current documents and keep them in your manufacturer profile file.
The Chinese Textile Machinery Association lists the company under its exact name as member entry 111. Membership places the group in the national industry body; machine acceptance still rests on your own trial.
The SJ758 page also cites an older patent. If the patented design matters to you, ask for the number, check its status in Chinese patent records and confirm that the machine you buy uses it. Request current company qualifications and any compliance papers your market needs. [1][2][6]

Generic weaving machinery illustration · not the listed equipment
A rapier loom from Shaoxing Textile Machinery Group for weaving paper cord, nylon filament and mat grass. It runs on PLC control with automatic weft finding, a weft-break stop, multicolour selection and semi-automatic oiling. One parameter block lists 1.5 kW, 1,600 kg and a 300 mm roll; another lists 180–230 rpm and six colours. Send a cord sample, fabric target and width, and ask for one sheet for that version.
