G7 · Fabric inspection and rolling

Generic dyeing & finishing machinery illustration · not the listed equipment

Equipment model · G7

The G7 is Guangfan's inspection and rolling machine for knitted and woven fabric. An operator checks the cloth as it passes and the machine winds it into a finished roll. Guangfan also sells an automatic edge-alignment G7 with variable-frequency speed control, a length counter and photoelectric edge correction. Neither page prints width, speed or roll-size figures, so ask for them with your quote and send a piece of the fabric you plan to run.

Four functions to check in a G7 offer

Guangfan's G7 page for knitted and woven cloth is dated 22 February 2021. It covers rolling and mentions packing and many materials in broad terms, without naming a wrapping or sealing unit or listing capacity. The edge-alignment page from the same day lists photoelectric edge correction, a length counter and variable-frequency speed adjustment.

Two builds share one model code, so ask Guangfan to name the build in its offer and list what is fitted. The table splits the machine into the four jobs buyers most often mix up. [1] [2]

Four functions to check in a G7 offer
FunctionWhat Guangfan publishesAsk for
Fabric inspectionInspection is in the G7 product nameThe viewing table, lighting, how defects are marked and any optional detection camera.
Edge alignmentPhotoelectric edge correction on the edge-alignment pageWhether your build has it, where the sensor sits and how far the edge may wander.
Rolling and lengthRolling on both pages; a length counter on the edge-alignment pageFeed and take-up format, how length is measured and the roll you expect from your cloth.
PackingGeneral packing wording, with no named unitWhether wrapping, sealing or labelling is in the price, offered as an extra or not available.

Ask for the figures your fabric needs

The G7 model page has no table of width, speed, roll diameter or roll weight. Send Guangfan the details in the middle column and ask it to fill in the right-hand column for the build it is quoting. Keep any gap open until Guangfan answers; a typical figure from another machine will not tell you what this one does. [1]

Ask for the figures your fabric needs
FigureWhat you sendWhat Guangfan should return
Usable widthYour widest and narrowest fabric, edge condition and constructionThe width it will handle with edge guiding fitted, including any edge margin.
Running speedThe inspection you do, how much the fabric stretches and the roll quality you acceptA speed range, and the speed at which your inspection and winding still meet that standard.
Feed and take-up limitsHow the cloth arrives, core size, target roll diameter and weightThe largest package and roll it takes, how rolls are loaded and which supports or drives are in the price.
Length measuringHow you measure accepted metres todayHow the G7 counts length, the reference you will both use and the error you will accept.
InstallationFloor space, access and the power and air on siteA layout drawing, service clearances, electrical needs and any compressed air.

Try the G7 on the cloth you produce

Take production fabric to the trial, cut from the same process you will run. A stable demonstration knit can hide the stretch, edge curl or finish problems that your own cloth shows on a roll. Agree in advance which fabric condition counts as a pass. Grading systems and roll checks are explained further in the note on fabric inspection and rolling machines.

  1. Log the cloth before it runs

Note construction, width, finish, incoming format and any faults already present. Keep a cut sample so you can compare the fabric after rolling.

  2. Settle who inspects and how

Name the person who grades faults, the viewing light and how fault positions and decisions are written up. If Guangfan offers an automatic system, agree the sample faults and the pass mark first.

  3. Measure length and judge the roll

Check the counted length against your reference and look at the finished roll for edge line, even winding and fabric condition. Score edge guiding apart from fault finding.

  4. Write down usable conditions

Record the build, the speed you used, stops, operator actions and rejected cloth. For stretch fabric, agree how changes in size or hand are measured, and ask Guangfan directly how the G7 controls tension.

What a full G7 offer should list

A clear G7 offer names the build and attaches the table of figures, a layout and the list of what is supplied. Edge guiding, length counting, lighting or inspection equipment, roll handling and any packing step should each be priced on their own line. Then you can compare configurations side by side when two quotes use the same short model code.

Tie final acceptance to your agreed fabric, test conditions and the rolls the G7 produced. Ask which manuals, maintenance notes, operator training, commissioning visits and spare parts come with the machine. Get the warranty term, service response time and delivery date written into the contract.

Guangfan also makes centering and correction units, slitters and dryers, which sit with other dyeing and finishing machines in a plant. Leave those out of the G7 order unless you add them as named items. Price, energy savings, detection accuracy and output gains appear on neither G7 page, so ask Guangfan for figures if they matter to you. [1] [2] [3]

Sources & limitations

Have Guangfan state in writing, before you sign: the G7 build and what is fitted, usable width and running speed for your fabric, largest roll diameter, roll weight, electrical and compressed-air demand, whether edge correction and the length counter are included, how tension is controlled, any detection camera or packing unit with its data, the trial result, and the warranty, service response and delivery date.
