Equipment series · Tensionless inspection and rolling series

The tensionless inspection and rolling series from Shaoxing Hedeng Machinery is a fabric-handling machine for checking finished cloth and winding it onto rolls while keeping pull low, so that the fabric holds its shape. Hedeng aims it at textile and garment operations. Its three photographs show cloth running over inclined viewing tables with rollers and different roll-handling layouts beside them. Hedeng publishes it as a family, with no model code, working width, speed or power figure, so the machine you buy is defined by your quote. Start that quote with your incoming fabric, the defects your inspectors look for and the roll the next process needs.

What the machine does and what Hedeng shows

Hedeng names this series for tensionless fabric inspection and rolling in textile and garment plants. The idea is simple: an inspector checks the cloth over a sloping table while the machine feeds and winds it gently, which matters most for stretch goods, knits and light fabrics that lose width under pull.

The product page carries three photographs. Each shows fabric passing over an inclined viewing surface and through rollers, with a different handling arrangement next to it; one has a conveyor alongside. None of the pictures or the text gives a working width, speed or power rating for a named model.

Treat the word tensionless as Hedeng's design goal. Ask how the feed, fabric support, drive and winder achieve it on your goods, and which of those parts are in the price. A side-by-side comparison of each configuration offered is the clearest way to see what changes between versions. [1]

Fabric and roll details that define your machine

Because the series has no fixed data sheet, the quote is built from what you send. Include a representative sample and the full range of qualities the machine must run. The table pairs each piece of buyer information with the answer to ask for. [1]

How faults are found: operator or automatic

The product description talks about fabric defects and adds a broad line saying the machine can measure yarn count and evenness automatically and compare the readings with a standard. No sensor, software, measuring method or test result accompanies that line. If automatic measurement matters to your purchase, ask Hedeng to name the device, list what it reads and demonstrate it on samples you choose.

For camera or sensor defect detection, request the hardware and software set-up, the defect types covered, its limits and a run on agreed pieces. Decide in advance how missed faults, false alarms and roll reports will be judged.

If you plan to run the series with an inspector at the table, write down the viewing angle, lighting, stopping and marking routine, and who makes the pass or reject call. Grading, repair and removal of faults appear nowhere in the description, so ask whether any of them belong to the offer. The guide to fabric inspection and rolling machines covers the usual grading systems. [1]

Trial run: handling, inspection and finished rolls together

Pick trial fabrics that carry your real risks, such as the most stretch-sensitive quality or the one that winds badly, rather than a fabric that runs easily. Agree the measurements before the machine starts, and keep a reference piece of each fabric in its incoming state. [1]

  1. Record fabric and machine

Note each sample's construction, size, condition and input form, plus the exact unit, drives, guides, inspection equipment and winder used on the day.

  2. Check the handling

Compare incoming and processed cloth for width loss, creases, edge damage or marks, and log the settings and any operator help needed.

  3. Test the inspection routine

Run your defect list under the agreed lighting and recording method. If an automatic device is quoted, test it apart from the basic transport of the fabric.

  4. Measure rolls and length

Check roll edges, winding firmness, core fit and finished size. Verify the metre count only if it is part of the offer, using an agreed method.

  5. Time the output and unloading

Log run speed, stops, operator time, rework and accepted rolls together, then watch a roll leave the machine for the next station before you accept a capacity figure.

Linking the rolls to conveying and packing

Hedeng also lists automatic fabric packaging, fabric conveying and heat-shrink machines, and its company introduction names PE-film packaging as one of its product families. Those are separate catalogue items. Ask which of them, if any, come with an inspection and rolling quote.

Where rolls go straight on to packing, have Hedeng state the transfer height and direction, the roll sizes and weights accepted downstream, any buffer between stations, and how stops are coordinated. Set out the packing format and film in a specification of its own, because a good rolling trial tells you nothing about seal quality or shrink results.

The material on the series gives no price, delivery time, utilities, installation terms, warranty or output figure. Ask for an itemised offer with the configuration, layout, inspection and handling functions, training, manuals, maintenance support and the acceptance record you will sign. For other machines at this stage of a mill, browse dyeing and finishing equipment by process. [1] [2]

Sources & limitations

Hedeng should set out the following on paper ahead of any order: the exact unit offered and its model or drawing reference, its working width and material limits, how low-pull handling is achieved, the inspection functions included and any automatic measuring device by name, the core and roll limits, length counting if supplied, the electrical supply, the equipment boundary with any conveyor or packing machine, and the accepted result of a trial on your own fabric.
