Selection guide

Buying a part is a fitting problem before it is a price problem. The first line of any request is the machine the part goes into: builder, model, version and, where you have it, the serial plate. The second line is the job the part does there. Only then do drawings, quantities and prices make sense, because two looms that share a brand name can still take different profiles, mountings and connectors.

Loom components

Dingfeng's profile reeds for air-jet looms cover several named looms, and the catalogue shows a terry reed with two air channels as its own item. Send a dimensioned drawing with dent information and its unit convention, then ask the supplier to name the exact variant it will make. Micheng's K88 middle-head assembly belongs to a selvedge range for large rapier looms; begin with the head position you need and finish with a fabric-edge trial on the loom itself.

Sanhe's SHRP weft feeder serves rapier looms; its page mentions a permanent-magnet drive, metal sensing and yarn separation you can adjust. Its 1600 m/min figure is the feeder's ceiling; what you will see depends on the yarn, the loom interface and the pattern. For a sense of how feeders, reeds and selvedge devices sit together on a machine, read about insertion systems and the parts around them.

Electronic replacements need the most homework. Action lists the SXACT-GT2003-II pattern unit in its closed electronic dobby range. Before ordering, write down the installed dobby, the electronics already on the loom and how pattern files reach it, and ask Action to state compatibility for that setup.

Spindles and bobbins for covering machines

On covering frames the rotating parts carry the yarn quality. Wanheng's WH hollow covering spindles come as separately labelled variants, WH8202B-262 among them, so match machine, bobbin and drive before choosing one. Hesheng's aluminium covering bobbins are flanged tubes with a central bore; fix the spindle fit and full-package envelope first, then approve alloy, finish and a running sample. A covering machine such as the LB-192 shows the kind of host frame these parts serve, and the guide to covering and texturing machines explains which settings the spindle influences. Tube and package geometry is covered in the package and bobbin specification guide.

Ordering and inspection

Ask for the drawing back with a revision mark and any fit assumptions in writing, then compare the offered variants on dimensions rather than catalogue wording. A short trial on your own machine shows fit far better than a matching drawing. For larger orders, inspect a sample lot against agreed criteria, borrowing the structure of a factory acceptance test. When the part is a wear item, set stock levels and lead times alongside the warranty and spare parts terms of the main machine.

Component makers are often small workshops, so read their manufacturer profiles to see what they produce in-house. Parts for looms and warp preparation and for yarn-processing frames are listed in those hubs alongside the machines they fit.

SHRP · Weft feeder

Sanhe's SHRP is a rapier-loom weft feeder with a permanent-magnet motor and metal sensor. It delivers yarn at up to 1600 m/min, sets separation from 0 to 2.2 mm and measures 330 × 151 × 190 mm at 5.2 kg. Yarn ranges are …
