Machines that make yarn from fibre or rework bought-in yarn: rotor and flax spinning, compact retrofits, winding, doubling, twisting, cabling, covering, texturing and chenille.
Selection guide
A spinning or yarn-processing machine is bought for something you can hold: a yarn of known count, twist and structure, wound on a package the next machine will run without trouble. Describe that yarn first and work back to the machine family. Write every count with its unit, because a range printed in Ne and another printed in dtex only line up after you convert them using the count systems on spec sheets.
Which family does the job
Turning fibre into yarn is the first fork. The RFRS30D is a modular rotor spinner offered with up to 600 positions, so ask which rotor, count and package combination the quotation is built on. Golden Eagle sells flax preparation and spinning as a chain of stages from hackling to wet-spinning frames; a flax enquiry names each stage and how sliver and roving pass between them. Mills that already run ring frames can look at Haoming's compact conversion, where your existing frame model is the first line of the request.
Plying is the second fork. Assembly winding, two-for-one twisting and direct cabling reach a plied product by different routes, and the plying route that suits your product decides which quotations belong side by side. Lilai pitches its LL321G at short-staple yarns, naming cotton, flax, wool and blended counts; Huayu's HY310C-SF handles filament; for Jingli's JL628A, ask for a corrected model sheet before comparing figures. Tianzhu's TZ618 cables directly on a standard 120-spindle frame with two independent sides, and the DX231A Type I doubles ends as preparation for Dongxing's short-staple G series. State twist as turns per metre with S or Z direction so every supplier quotes the same target.
Winders sit at each hand-over. The WSF200A forms packages under electronic guidance with digital tension feedback, the XRLT-08 builds parallel or single-cone packages from individually driven spindles, SGD2012 rewinds weft packages destined for all three shuttleless loom types, and FHTDTK-A takes hanks of chemical-fibre yarn onto tubes. Choosing between precision and random winding settles wind angle and density before speed enters the conversation.
Structured yarns make the last group: LB-192 for single and double spandex covering, the YQ800DS for POY-to-DTY texturing, and the LX600 sectional chenille machine. The settings that shape each of these are set out in our guide to covering, texturing and chenille.
An enquiry suppliers can answer
Give material, count, ends, twist and direction, plus the feed and take-up package and tube dimensions. Ask for one operating point and layout for your yarn rather than a column of catalogue maxima, and request supply voltage and installed power figures so the electrician can plan early. When offers arrive, compare the configurations spindle by spindle, not model name against model name.
The LL321G is a short-staple two-for-one twisting machine for plied cotton, flax, wool and blended yarn. Frames grow in 16-spindle sections to 208 spindles, with spindle speed up to 12,000 rpm, delivery up to 100 m/min a…
Xinru's XRLT-08 is a 96-spindle yarn winder with its own motor and digital length counter on every spindle. It takes 17.5–220 dtex yarn at up to 1200 m/min, has a 250 mm spindle pitch and a 100–180 mm standard traverse, …
The WSF200A is an electronically guided precision winder for yarns from 10 to 7000 dtex, with programmable package shape and digital tension feedback. It is built single-sided in sections of six spindles, 6 to 60 in all,…
